Privacy Policy for Camper Top Truck, Inc.

Your privacy is very important to us. This privacy policy governs the use and disclosure of the Personal Information (as defined below) that Camper Top Truck, Inc. (“Camper Top Truck”, “we”, “us” and “our”), along with any Camper Top Truck affiliates and/or subsidiaries, collect about you, including offline and on any websites or mobile websites, any mobile applications (e.g., iPhone applications, iPad applications, Android applications, etc.) and any other applications, interactive features, widgets and resources offered through traditional Internet websites, mobile devices or other platforms where this policy is posted, including the website currently located at https://campertopfortruck.com/ (each individually a “Site” or “Service”). This privacy policy also explains your choices for managing your information preferences, including opting out of certain uses of your Personal Information.


1. What Information We Collect

We, and our service providers acting on our behalf, may collect the following types of information that identifies, relates to, describes, could be associated with, or could be linked to you or your household (“Personal Information”):

  • Product and Preference Information: Information about products you purchase or search for (product brand, line, LOT Code, purchase date, price, location). Also, warranty registration data, and vehicle information (make, model, etc.).
  • Transaction Information: Billing address and payment information (credit card, debit card, or other financial details). We use third-party processors to help secure payment and credit card information.
  • Internet and Network Activity: We may use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking tools to collect information automatically about your actions on the Site, when you open our emails, and when you interact with our ads or content elsewhere. This includes IP address, device ID, browser type, OS, ISP, pages you view, content you browse, searches, referring URL, visit times and durations, which emails you open, which ads or content you click/engage with, etc.
  • Employment-Related Information: If you apply for a job, we will collect the information you submit with your application. (See our Applicant and Employee Privacy Policy for more detail.)
  • Location Information: We may infer your location from your IP address.
  • Inferences: Based on the other Personal Information collected, we may draw inferences about your preferences, characteristics, predispositions, and attitudes.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect Personal Information about you from various sources, directly and indirectly, including:

  • Directly from you: e.g., when you register with the Site, make a purchase, use our Services, sign up for newsletters, register warranties, contact us, etc. If you choose not to provide requested information, you may not be able to use some features or make purchases.
  • Automatically from your devices: Cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies are used to collect data whenever you visit the Site, open emails, or interact with content/ads. Some of our Advertisers may use their own tracking tools.

  • Within the Camper Top Truck family: Share with parent, affiliates, subsidiaries or entities under common control.

  • With business partners / advertisers: e.g., co-sponsors, advertisers, ad networks, etc. Advertisers may collect/use information about your use of our Site or other sites to serve you ads.

5. Your Choices; Communication Preferences

  • Opt out of marketing emails
    You can unsubscribe via the link in our promotional emails, or email info@campertopfortruck.com to be removed. It may take up to 7 days to process. After that, we may still send you transactional emails (e.g. account notices, billing, shipping, returns, support).
  • Opt-out of promotional texts/SMS
    Reply “STOP” to any promotional text/SMS to opt out. Alternatively, email info@campertopfortruck.com to be removed from promotional SMS. Processing may take up to 7 days. (Opting out of promotional texts does not exclude transactional texts.)
  • Control cookies & tracking
    Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can disable or remove cookies, or set preferences per browser or device. Note: some Site features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
  • About Ads / Interest-Based Advertising
    We, together with ad networks and analytics vendors, may serve tailored ads based on your behavior across sites. If you prefer not to be tracked for such purposes, you may opt-out using tools like the NAI Consumer Opt-Out tool or the “About Ads” option.
  • Do Not Track
    Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Our Site currently does not alter behavior in response to those signals, as there is no industry consensus on how to interpret them.

6. Your Privacy Rights Regarding Your Personal Information

Depending on your jurisdiction and applicable law, you may have rights such as:

  • Withdraw Consent: Revoke any consent you have given, for future processing.
  • Opt-Out / Do Not Sell or Share: Direct us not to “sell” or “share” your information or opt out of targeted advertising.
  • Appeal: If we deny a request (in part or full), you can appeal, or contact your state Attorney General or data protection authorities.

Some requests may be denied or partially fulfilled when legally permitted (e.g. for recordkeeping, processing transactions, etc.). You may also authorize an agent to act on your behalf, provided you identify the agent as such.


7. Additional Jurisdictional Disclosures

California Residents
If you live in California, these additional disclosures apply:

  • To opt-out of our sharing your information for third-party direct marketing offline (under “Shine the Light”), email info@campertopfortruck.com or use our Privacy Request Form. Please include “California Shine the Light” in your request and your name, street address, city, state, and ZIP.
  • Categories of Personal Information collected under California law include: identifiers (name, email, address, IP), commercial info (purchase history), internet activity (site usage, cookies), geolocation (inferred from IP), inferences, etc.
  • We may “sell” or “share” identifiers, commercial info, internet activity, inferences, and in some cases, sensitive personal information (e.g. precise geolocation) to advertising partners.
  • Use of these categories for business purposes aligns with the uses described above.

Our legal basis for processing Personal Information we collect in the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK can vary depending on the manner in which you use our Site or otherwise engage with us. We may process your Personal Information if it is necessary in order to enter into or perform a contract with you. To the extent we rely on our legitimate interests as a legal basis for processing your Personal Information, we have considered the balance between our own interests (among other things, the lawful and efficient operation of our business) and your interests, and we believe that (a) you would reasonably expect us to carry out the kind of processing referenced herein and (b) such processing will not cause you harm and/or will not seriously impact your rights and freedoms with regard to data privacy. To the extent we rely on your consent as a legal basis for processing your Personal Information, you have the right to withdraw such consent given to us for the processing of your Personal Information at any time, although such withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of our processing prior to your withdrawal of consent. Individuals located in the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK have certain of the rights listed in Section 6 above, including the right to access, rectify, or erase their Personal Information; to restrict or object to processing of your Personal Information, including certain automated processing; and to data portability (i.e., the right to receive a copy of your Personal Information). You also have the right to file a complaint with your data protection authority if you have a concern about the manner in which we are processing your Personal Information. 8. International Data Transfers 

The Personal Information we collect about you may be transferred to countries other than the country from which you provide the information. The Personal Information protection laws of other countries might be different from, and not as protective as, the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, and might permit courts, government, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies and security authorities to access your Personal Information without notice.  

Where necessary, we utilize a valid data transfer mechanism, such as the European Union Standard Contractual Clauses, to facilitate international data transfers. 9.  Data Security  

RealTruck recognizes the importance of safeguarding the confidentiality of your Personal Information. Accordingly, we employ commercially reasonable measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure and use. However, no data transmission over the Internet or other network can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. As a result, while we strive to protect information transmitted on or through the Site or Services, we cannot and do not guarantee the security of any information you transmit on or through the Site or Services, and you do so at your own risk.  

10.  Data Retention 

We may store Personal Information for as long as we have a legitimate business need for it. We determine the retention period for each category of Personal Information based on: (i) the length of time we need to retain the information to achieve the business or commercial purpose for which it was obtained, (ii) any legal or regulatory requirements applicable to such information, (iii) internal operational needs, and (iv) any need for the information based on any actual or anticipated investigation or litigation. 

11. Children’s Privacy  

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received Personal Information from an individual under the age of 16, we will delete such information from our records. In addition, we recommend that minors 16 years of age or older ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet.  

12. Privacy Policy Changes  

From time to time, we may change the Privacy Policy. If we decide to change the Privacy Policy, we will inform you by posting the revised Privacy Policy on the Site. Those changes will go into effect on the revision date shown in the revised Privacy Policy. Your continued use of our Site or Services constitutes your consent to the revised Privacy Policy.
